Called by Christ to love, learn, and lead.
Almighty God, we worship You, our Father! We pray for an end to violence in our cities and for the conversion of those involved in racism, street gangs and organized crime. Help them, O Lord, to recognize the dignity of every human person and to remember that we will all have to render an account to You who are the just Judge, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. Restore peace to our streets and bring an end to the cycle of poverty and violence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Holy Spirit, Spirit of Truth, we worship You! We pray for those who either do not believe or who believe wrongly. Enlighten their minds with Your light and enflame their hearts with Your love! Give the gift of the faith to atheists and agnostics. Humble their pride and inspire their souls with Your grace. Burst through their blindness with Your radiance and use us as an instrument of salvation for many. Amen.
Almighty and ever-living God, we worship You who reigns over all! There are many places in the world where Christianity is persecuted or outlawed. Many Christians throughout the world practice their faith in hiding with fear of imprisonment, torture or death. Grant them freedom, Lord, to follow you. Protect them from their oppressors and use EWTN to bring them hope and encouragement. Turn the hearts of their persecutors so that they, too, may experience the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lord Jesus, You told Your disciples that they would suffer persecution just as You did. We pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in Iraq who are enduring persecution. Send Your Holy Angels to protect them from all harm. Console them in their afflictions and support them in their daily hardships and anxieties. Grant freedom to Your Church and give strength and joy to the Iraq martyrs in their sufferings. You who live and reign forever. Amen.
O most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we adore You! We thank You for inviting us into Your Kingdom and calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Let us be an instrument for the conversion of sinners. Soften the hardened of heart; melt those indifferent to Your goodness; and enflame those who are without love. Together with Jesus, we offer our prayers, sufferings, and sacrifices this day for their conversion. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we adore You, who are a perfect community of persons! In the superabundance of Your goodness You invite us to share in Your life and love now and forever. We ask You to grant us new gifts of prayer so that we may grow in union with You. O God, You are our God, for You we long, for You our souls are thirsting, like a dry weary land without water. Quench our thirst! Give us Yourself. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Heavenly Father, lover of all life, we thank You for loving the thought of us and creating us! You do not delight in the destruction of the living but rather that all may live and prosper. We thank You for showing us the way to life and love, the way to happiness and joy. Help us to build the culture of life and the civilization of love. Bring to naught the designs of those who seek to destroy life. Save us by your power! Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we praise You who have taught us how to live and how to love! You promised to welcome into Your eternal joy those who fed You, clothed You, visited You, and welcomed You in the least of Your brothers. Help the homeless to find employment and decent housing and console them in their need. Inspire government leaders and the faithful with ways to truly help the homeless to make their way and to meet their own basic needs. Stir up a new charity and wisdom in the hearts of all! Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Almighty God and Father, we thank You for the dignity You have given to all human life, even when it is marred by disease! We pray for those with Alzheimer’s disease. Grant them, in their confusion, the consolation of Your presence. Give to their families strength, compassion, and patience and show them the way to perfect charity. Help us all to trust that You bring good out of all things and that our suffering is nothing compared to the glory You have prepared for us. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen
O Immaculate Mother, Queen of our country, open our hearts, our homes, and our land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son, with Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of God’s Light shining in and about you. Be our Leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with infinite charity.
We gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and without your loving maternal care.
We consecrate our hearts, our homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us.
We ask no special sign for us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire.
Reign over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your children of America, as your instruments in bringing peace among men and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctified us.
May your valiant Spouse, St. Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you and us in “renewing the face of the earth.” Then when our work is over, come, Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King. Amen (200 days)
Written at the behest of Our Lady of America, October 5, 1956
To you, Our Lady of Joyful Hope, we entrust the priests, deacons, seminarians, religious men and women, laity and all the people of the world, in their joys and sorrows, their triumphs and defeats, their successes and their failures.
As Mother of Christ and Mother of the Church, you are also Mother to all who call upon you in their need. You are the Mother of all races and all people.
Help our universal human family and all our families to draw closer together; help our youth to find meaning, purpose, and direction in life; help our frail elderly to know you are with them; help our sick, poor, abandoned, and unborn to be rescued by your love for them reaching out through us.
Lead us all closer to your Son, our Lord, our Savior, and our God, who is present with us in the Most Holy Eucharist. Through our prayers to you, Mother of Joyful Hope, especially the prayers of the Rosary, help us become people of hope and joy, radiating God’s love for us always, in your Son, Jesus Christ. In His powerful name and with your special intercession, we pray. Amen.
